The renovation of the palace for use as a hotel and restaurant in Borki
Location: Borki
The project involving the reconstruction of the palace, designated for use as a hotel and restaurant in the town of Borki, on plots 1188, 1187/33, and 1187/24, encompassed a comprehensive renovation of the building, both externally and internally. The works restored the palace to its former glory, including the recreation of its historic facade with intricate stucco decorations, the renovation of the historic balcony, and the stylized external balustrades. The interiors of the palace were enhanced with original wooden door elements, which were showcased in the functional spaces.
Thanks to the undertaken works, the ground-floor section of the palace regained its historical form, consistent with the original architectural design, while the remaining sections were adapted for hotel and restaurant purposes. During the project, electrical and sanitary installations were also replaced, ensuring modern functionality without compromising the building’s historic character. All work was carried out in accordance with conservation guidelines, emphasizing the unique architectural style and cultural value of the palace.
The palace in Borki has been given a new purpose, becoming a destination for leisure and gatherings that attracts both tourists and the local community. This investment serves as an excellent example of revitalizing a historic property while preserving its cultural values and adapting it to meet modern needs.
